It’s about time Alamo had an up-to-date restraint with some character and good food and Xenia fits the bill very well …” – Bernard Gibbons “The English Agent” – The Real Estate Informer Read More

"I work in the Alamo area, and am always looking for new places to meet for lunch. I stumbled onto Xenia one day on my way to the post office and I am so glad that I did. The host/owner who greets you at the door is this wonderful man with a easy smile that makes you feel on your first visit like you have been coming there for years. The dining room is elegant, but understated and the open kitchen is fun because you feel like you're part of the action, but the noise is not overwhelming like some other restaurants with a similar set up. When you order, substitutions have never been a problem (I trade the delicious skinny fries for a fresh green salad everytime), in fact when I order the side salad, he always tries to add extra goodies to it. I've never been for dinner but the lunch is phenomenal and I highly recommend, if not urge, you to try the Tri-Tip Sandwich, it is absolutely DELISH!" - Erin M. (San Ramon, CA) 01/12/2007

"I really enjoy this restaurant. I had a basil chicken sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. I suggest it as a great place to grab lunch if you don't want too formal of a setting. The dining room is beautiful and the service is not bad." - Nate H. (Walnut Creek, CA) 08/05/2007

"When we don't want to drive or go too far we head over to our local favorite restaurant Xenia Bistro. We do not have many choices in Alamo so we were very happy to see Xenia open; down right giddy once we tried the great food!
It's hard to say which dish we enjoy the most since everything we've tried has been wonderful but for some suggestions, the bread and smoked eggplant pure that starts out every meal, is a knockout. Their pizzas and soups are exceptional! And we just can not say enough about their meatloaf, we know that Alamo may be out of the way for some but if you find yourself around this side of the bay, give this little place a try!
They also have a little bar that serves a pretty good Makers Mark Manhattan, a little small but tasty." - Bryan M. (Alamo, CA) 05/25/2007
